I had a sub (we actually call them guest teachers now!) yesterday morning while I was busy collaborating with some other teachers in the district for a Daily 5 training we are leading. As I was planning for my math group, I found a great multiplying decimals freebie!
It is an activity called “Flower Power” by Haley James, and the kids basically find the value of a pattern block flower that they create (while multiplying decimals), then graph their results. The kids absolutely loved designing their flowers, and they even enjoyed doing the math. It was a great review right before our multiplying decimals quiz.
