Honestly, their ideas had me 🤯 and I learned so mu Honestly, their ideas had me 🤯 and I learned so much about how my students think, process, and work in a large group!! Here’s how I did it:

Hand them a huge stack of letters (there were tons of duplicates). They had to silently make a large circle of letters A-Z. No talking. I LOVED watching them work together. (If you don’t want to do this step, just make a circle of the letters before they arrive.)

Then, I gave them a topic. We went around the circle, and each student had a QUICK chance to state something that started with each letter (in any order) and collected letters as they went. If they didn’t have one ready to go, we’d go to the next person and continue around the circle until all letters were gone. The person with the most letters at the end “wins” but we actually ALL won with this one!

Shoutout to TopDogTeaching for inspiring me to start this last year!!
