This resource includes FOUR original, high-interest reading passages with a heavy focus on a specific reading skill. Two texts are fiction, and two are informational. (One of the fiction passages is an original poem!)

Each original text includes FIVE days of reading tasks (for a total of 20 days!) 

  1. Day One – Read, annotate, and evaluate a text
  2. Day Two – Graphic organizer that focuses on the skill of the week
  3. Day Three – Using pictures to teach and review the reading skill
  4. Day Four – Read and respond to questions
  5. Day Five – Writing prompts

Each page has been created with a clean design and easy-to-read fonts so it’s simple to use!

June Literacy Skill of the Week Covers the Following Skills:

  • Reading Skill Focus: Determining Relevant Information
  • Grammar Focus: Nouns, Verbs, Adjectives, Adverbs
  • Poetry Focus – Symbolism and Allusion in Poetry
