Get ready to review literacy skills this July in a way that’s FUN for students and EASY to prep! These July reading comprehension passages are part of a monthly resource to teach and review essential reading and writing skills! It’s the perfect summer review packet!

This resource includes FOUR original, high-interest reading passages with a heavy focus on a specific reading skill. Two texts are fiction, and two are informational. (One of the fiction passages is an original poem!)

Each original text includes FIVE days of reading tasks (for a total of 20 days!) 

1. Day One – Read, annotate, and evaluate an original text
2. Day Two – Graphic organizer that focuses on the skill of the week
3. Day Three – Using pictures to teach and review the reading skill
4. Day Four – Read and respond to questions
5. Day Five – Writing prompts
