Nouns Game

Engage your students in practicing Nouns with this incredible Topple Blocks™ game! Inspired by Hope King's use of Jenga games in the classroom, students will use colored Jenga/Topple Blocks™ to practice their language skills. Each colored block has six questions. When a student pulls a certain color, their entire team must answer a question that corresponds to the color.

Which Noun Skills are covered in this Topple Blocks™ game?

  • Find common and proper nouns in a given image
  • Write a given noun in a sentence so that it is used as a plural noun
  • Identify the possessive noun in a sentence and write it with proper punctuation
  • Label nouns as concrete or abstract
  • Rewrite a sentence by changing proper nouns to pronouns
  • Write a sentence using the type of noun given (proper noun, plural noun, possessive noun, abstract noun, pronoun)

An answer key is also included – perfect for having your students self-check as they play this fun Noun game!
