This Skittles candy activity is the perfect way for students to have FUN and show what they know about mean, median, mode, and range! This is a very engaging activity that would be perfect for the end of a mean, median, mode, and range unit. Students begin working independently then work in groups to collect data.
To use this mean, median and mode data activity, each student needs a small packet of skittles candy. Over the course of 4 rounds (with a possible 5th round as an extension) students will collect data individually, as a group, and compare with other groups to find the mean, median, mode and range multiple times.
