  1. I've been swooning over your pictures on IG as you post them. Your room is coming along great! Thank you for all of the awesome freebies. 🙂 LOVE the book bin labels! Do you happen to recall what font you used for your letters (like Accountable Talk)? I start on Monday for PD and still can't get into my classroom (hopefully soon). Our kids start on the 18th.

  2. Thanks for being so generous with your work! Your room looks like one I would want to come and learn in. Have a GREAT YEAR!!

  3. Your room looks great. I am thinking of trying flexible seating too this year, so I will be looking forward to reading how it goes in your class. I was wondering where you found the white and turquoise desk and chair. Turquoise is my favorite color. Best of luck as you finish your preparations. We also start back next week.

  4. WOW! You are one super organized and creative person! I love the pictures of your classroom – I am not going to lie, I am pretty jealous of how 'put together' your room looks. All teachers know how much time and hardwork it takes to make your room look so fabulous. GREAT JOB! Thanks for sharing the pictures (and the awesome links as well!) Have a WONDERFUL year!

  5. Love it!!! Thanks for sharing your hard work as well. And Cricut…on line?! Who knew?…not me!!! I've d/l and now need to find 'destructions' on how to use it with my cricut machine. I'm seeing so many posts about flexible seating…and am interested to see how it works before diving in myself. Hoping you have posts throughout the year on this.

  6. Having spent the last two days arranging my room, your blog was timely! You room looks wonderful, love your color selection and all your suggestions.

  7. I've been out of the teaching game for a year doing the whole stay-at-home mom gig and I must have missed the 'Growth Mindset' thing! Where can I learn more?!

  8. Hi Mary – I've used accountable talk for quite a few years with my 4th graders, and have been searching for an updated version of the posters that I have. Love the speech bubbles! Is there any way for you to add more sentence starters? There are several that I use consistently that would be great to add on. Thanks! Susan

  9. My color scheme is relatively the same for my sophomore English classroom. I have a few pictures on my blog. My teacher friend has been trying to transition into a flexible seating classroom. The admin isn't that receptive to it, but she is trying this year. She has several exercise balls, stand up desk options, and some other options. Is your whole school district going to flexible seating or is it just for the school?

  10. Your room looks awesome! Thank you for linking all these amazing freebies. I'm excited to get my growth mindset board up and I love your version of the accountable talk posters. Have a great school year and please know how much all your generous work is appreciated!!

  11. Thanks for sharing! Love the IG and Growth Mindset boards, going to use those ideas in my room (first time with a classroom in 3 years, so excited!) 🙂

  12. I love your blog, and use it so frequently as a resource for many things! Where did you get the signs above your whiteboard? The "applied thinker," etc…

  13. I've noticed you've transitioned to IB and a concept based model. My school is currently doing the same. What trainings did you do? Are you designing your own units or were they provided? Love everything you ever post!
